Ok people, time to stop being so hard on ourselves!! So often, we are our own worst critics and beat ourselves up unnecessarily.
So, what does this have to do with nutrition? Consistently ruminating in negative thoughts can put your body in a low-level stress response (i.e., inflammatory response). When we are in a stress response, it affects our ability to absorb and assimilate nutrients, among other things. Over time, inflammation causes can cause many types of acute and chronic illnesses.
So please “be kind and rewind”….your negative thoughts. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you for it.
